“Joker deserves Best Picture” says guy who watched, like, 3 movies this year

It’s undeniable”

Local cinema fan Brad Donaldson has come out in support of Joker as the best movie of 2019 at an Oscar party with his mates today.

“I mean, it just did things I’ve never seen before”, said Donaldson.

Donaldson has not seen any of the other nominees, but feels certain that they can definitely match up to Todd Phillips’ masterwork.

“I didn’t bother seeing them, na”, he said, “but I’m sure they’re not as good”.

Donaldson noted that we would have made the time to see the other films, he just didn’t. He claims that Joker was better than both Avengers: Endgame and Gemini Man, the only other two films that he managed to see.

“I liked the bit when he danced on the stairs, that was arty”

The King of Comedy? Is that the new Chappelle special?”

DC Developing Condiment King Movie After Joker’s Success

The success of Warner Brothers latest DC venture Joker has many wondering, “what’s next?”. Well, the next step has been revealed, and its one that is sure to delight legions of hardcore DC fans.

The Condiment King was originally created by Bruce Timm and Paul Dini for the wildly popular Batman: The Animated Series as a minor comic relief villain and throwback to the Adam West era of Batman camp.

However, the Condiment King has since gone on to become one of the most wildly popular and successful villains of all time, selling millions of copies of various comic books, and making his feature film debut in a minor role in The Lego Batman Movie.

The Condiment King was rated as the number one supervillian of all time by the CIA.

Now, a new live-action film is set to use Joker as its inspiration for a Condiment King origin story, but it might not just be inspiration. In his original iteration, the Condiment King was also a failed stand-up comedian who was recruited by the Joker. Could this new version take inspiration from Phoenix’s character in a direct sequel?

Daniel Day Lewis, Finn Wolfhard and the ghost of River Phoenix are all said to be in talks for the lead role.

The King of Condiments is set to hit theatres in October 2021

Ghost of Orson Welles Rises From Grave to Say He Doesn’t Like Marvel Movies

“No, it’s the children who are wrong”.

The reanimated ghost of cinema legend Orson Welles has risen from his grave to decry the success of Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“[Marvel is] Total garbage” claimed Welles, who died of a heart attack in 1985. “Lots of computer effects and flying stuff. NO THANK YOU”.

Welles’ statements echo those of fellow filmmakers Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola.

Welles is widely regarded as one of the most influential creative’s of all time, and is especially remembered for his work on such projects as Citizen Kane, The Third Man, and Transformers: The Movie.

Putting aside the confirmation of life after death and the existence of an afterlife in which sentience is retained and time flows as normal, this is a big blow for the Marvel Universe. A growing number of filmmakers are expressing disappointment with their production model.

Time will tell if this backlash will impact the box office of their next film, Black Widow.

UN Downgrades Joker from ‘International Threat’ to ‘Movie’

“Turns out it was just a movie the whole time, lol”

After months of theorizing, fear-mongering and think-piece-considering, the UN has announced that Todd Phillips’ Joker, previously considered to be a massive threat to civilization as we know it, is actually just a movie.

“Yeah, we really high-balled this one” said UN Secretary-General Russell Johnson, “turns out its just a movie”.

RELATED: JOKER LISTED AS THREAT TO SOCIETY AS WE KNOW IT

Joker had been linked to a list of fears and concerns including: theatre violence, incel validation, white supremacy, the bubonic plague, the rise of fascism, an increase in terrible stand up comedy, the fall of Rome and the breakdown of international democracy.

Thankfully, it turns out that its just a pretty decent movie that has some pretty vanilla themes about “society”.

RELATED: HERE’S WHAT THE JOKER TRAILER SAYS ABOUT OUR SOCIETY

“Thank god it wasn’t the Jared Leto version”, said Mr Johnson. When asked why that would have created cause for concern, Johnson replied, “because that version sucks, lol”

You can go watch Joker in safety, I guess.
